Strategies for eliminating inhalant, environmental and food allergies
STEP BY STEP PLAN
Allergies are among the most common chronic conditions in the world. In the United States, it is estimated that allergies affect 1 out of every 5 people.
In fact, allergy suffers know that when allergies flare up, day-to-day life can get miserable.
Now, you can treat your allergies without shots.
Allery drops work like allergy shots, slowly helping you build a tolerance to your allergies but they are delivered under your tongue in a drop that you can take at home.
Allery drops can safely and effectively treat a broad range of allergies, including pollens, dander and other environmental allergies, as well as foods, molds and chemical sensitives.

The 5 Step Process to Relief from Allergies
Evaluation & Testing
Based on your intake and history, will we determine which allergy tests to administer to determine which allergens are affecting you.
Your Treatment Plan
Once we have your test results we develop a treatment plan for you that includes prescribing custom formulated allergy drops. Most patients who take allergy drops find their need for other medication decreases over time.
Receive your allergy drops
Once you receive your custom allergy drops, we will carefully demonstrate how the drops are to be used. We will take time to answer your questions to assure you are confident in administering your new allergy drop treatments on your own.
Time and Consistency
Now it is up to you. It is not surprising, that research shows patients who consistently take their drops exactly as proscribed report feeling better faster than those who take them as needed or impermanently.
Three months after receiving your drops we will want to follow up with an office visit to check on your progress. We may need to retest if a patient is finding relief in some areas of their allergy symptoms but not in others.
Candidates for Allergy Drops
Although most people who suffer from allergies and related conditions can benefit rom allergy drops, many are not even aware it is an option.
Sublingual immunotherapy is especially helpful for people who can’t tolerate or don’t respond to allergy shots, including:
Infants and children:
Children and infants with eczema or recurrent ear infections, which often have an underlying allergy as the root cause, are especially responsive to allergy drops. The safety profile makes it an ideal option for young children. Many children with untreated eczema and allergies develop asthma and other chronic conditions later in life, treating early can have a lifelong benefit.
For asthmatics, sublingual immunotherapy can provide desensitization for triggers, which can moderate the need for asthma medication and can dramatically reduce symptoms.
Chronic Sinus Conditions:
Research shows that chronic sinus conditions, mold sensitivities and allergies are typically related. Treating the underlying allergy disease with SLIT can provide a tremendous amount of relief.
Food and Mold Allergies:
Clinical evidence shows that even the most sensitive patients can tolerate SLIT. Other than total avoidance and symptom relief there has been little to offer those with food or mold allergies.
Sensitive and needle-averse:
Many allergy patients are unable or unwilling to undergo injection immunotherapy. SLIT offers a viable options, especially for those who have experienced systemic reactions to injections, who cannot travel or are too young.
Many patients have multiple allergies to dust, animals, pollens, chemicals and mold, not to mention a huge variety of foods. Patients using a regular SLIT treatment program report marked improvement with their sensitives and symptom flare ups.
The Science Behind the Drops
Allergy drops have been used around the world for more than 60 years, with more than 300 citations including over 90 peer-review studies published since 1995.
Some 50% of European countries use allergy drops with full regulatory and government backing.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has endorsed allergy drops as a viable alternative to injection therapy.
In 2007, an international workgroup that included the U.S. allergist published the ARIA (Allergic Rhinitis and its Impact on Asthma) guidelines indicating that SLIT as a viable treatment approach.
The ARIA paper also indicated that the research on allergy drops is more modern then those of the old standard of allergy shots. The drops are also a higher quality in terms of the WHO guidelines for research studies.
A Cochrane Review, the most trusted independent, evidence-based, meta, analysis organization it the world, rereleased their own analysis in 2003, that determined the treatment was both safe and effective.
Benefits of SLIT
SLIT (Sublingual Immunotherapy Therapy)
Treatment for patients of all ages
Allergy drops have proven especially helpful for children with eczema and recurrent ear infections, which often have allergies as an underlaying cause. Allergy drops have also been proven usefull in treatment of recurrent sinus infections in patients of all ages.
Lower Cost, Fewer Office Visits
Compared to shots, allergy drops cost less and require fewer clinic visits. Patients using allergy drops can avoid weekly or monthly office visits that are often required with shot therapy.
You can take allergy drops at home, decreasing the need for frequent office visits. You may travel with them as well. You are a partner in your health care with allergy drops.
Patients report and research confirms, that most patients need less medication to control symptoms after being on allergy drops.
Enjoy healthier days
Feeling better leads to more time living the life you deserve. Less office visits, less co-pays, less time off work, less hospital visits. The stress of trying to function when allergies are flaring up is minimized.
Initial Build Up Phase
There is an initial build up phase during which you will come to the office every 21 days for the first four or five vials. You will do your first drop in the office and wait 30 minutes here. Thereafter your maintenance vials will last about 10-12 weeks.
Our patients come to us from all over the valley, and even a few travel from other states for the comprehensive and healing care of Abundant Health Arizona.
“Hi, my name is Debbie, I have serious anaphylactic grass allergies. I have been working with Lynn Lambert FNP for several years now to manage my allergies. I was not able to do shots for this allergy as it was too severe. Lynn offers sublingual allergy drops, and she has been able to get me to the point where I can go outside and not suffer or be afraid I will have a severe reaction to the grass pollen. Lynn is very caring and patient centered. She is extremely competent and professional, but above all she is very patient. I would recommend her services highly.”
Rosie K. LPN
“I worked for eight years with Lynn Lambert FNP as an allergy nurse. She developed an allergy clinic that provided testing and treatment with immunotherapy. Over the time I worked with Lynn I could see dramatic changes in the health of the patients we treated. The patients in our office loved her warm manner and her ability to teach them how to be partners in their health care experience. It was an inspiration to work with her to serve our patients.”
